NCAA Final Four V.I.P. Gifts

During preparation for the 2019 Minneapolis Final Four, the Minneapolis Local Organizing Committee hired Juxtaposition Arts to design marketing materials for NCAA VIP’s. The JXTA Graphics Lab began designing concepts for marketing materials, including brochures and other products. Each of us working on them had a unique idea that varied in style, color, and feel. My concept is very focused on simple illustration and bright color palettes, making the brochures easy to understand yet also vibrant and eye-catching. The design includes icons that I created which relate to the theme of the day, basketball, and the city. Project deliverables included 4 brochure designs, an album cover, an album insert, 4 notecard designs, a flyer, 5 hangtags, a tote bag, a cookie canister design, and a comprehensive library of over 100 icons.

The concept contains a focus on simple line illustrations in the form of icons. These icons are simple yet interesting, keeping the readers from being confused and wanting to turn the page. These icons are brought to life by the colors used and the motion given to the design. When you look at the design, I hope you notice that all of the small images make up a bigger picture. In the food brochure, the icons make up the fillings of a Juicy Lucy, a burger famously originated in Minneapolis. Each brochure filled with unique icons relating to the day’s theme.
