Avahnii Lewis is a designer, illustrator, and art director based in Los Angeles, California from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She creates a diverse range of project deliverables for local and large businesses alike, while maintaining the belief that visual art is the universal language of storytelling.

Avahnii has been practicing professional digital arts since the young age of fourteen. Thought the years, she has worked as Jr. Art Director in the Graphics Lab at Juxtaposition Arts for clients like the Minnesota Twins, NCAA, 3M, and U.S. and Chase Bank. With the Twin Cities Mibile Jazz Project, Avahnii designed curriculum and taught Intro to Graphic Design class to high school students in St. Paul. Avahnii held position as member of the Walker Art Center's Teen Arts Council for four years, hosting teen events, planning tours, designing brochures and working with artists like Seitu Jones and Ta-Coumba Aiken. There, she traveled to represent the Walker Art Center at for the ICA Boston Arts Convening presenting on the importance of arts education and representation in museums. In 2019, she had the opportunity to be a design intern at KNOCK inc, a creative agency in Minneapolis, working on branding for a multitude of businesses including logo design, website design, and art directing photoshoots. That year, Avahnii was also named as one of "9 of the Twin Cities' most inspiring teens" in the Minnesota Next edition of City Pages for her design work. In 2021, Lewis was named Artist Leading the Change by Star Tribune and earned a degree in Liberal Arts at Minneapolis College. More recently, Avahnii offered her freelance design services to AfroPunk while she is continuing studies in California as a student in Business Entrepreneurship.
