Statuesque
Statuesque is a series of digital art pieces created as a personal project. The works have been displayed at Walker Art Center (2019), Juxtaposition Arts (2019-Present), and Brea Art Gallery as a chosen artist in the 2023 Made in California Emerging Artist exhibit.
Statuesque explores the lack of representation in European artwork during the colonial era by replacing the statue subject by a figures often ignored in historical documentations. Despite the unique beauties and intricacies across cultures, the choice to destroy art and culture was prevalent whilst exploiting their resources.
